Summary
As a member or student of the International Masterson Institute you must agree to the following confidentiality statement in full.
It is up to you as professional person to uphold the strictest of ethical guidelines when using this site and/or transmitting communication regarding vulnerable persons.
Full policy
I hereby agree to the following:
- I agree that all patient information shared in classes or supervision will be treated as confidential. Sharing of patient information falls within the bounds of consulting with colleagues for professional training purposes.
- I agree to take responsibility to securely store any documentation I may receive regarding confidential patient material and, immediately following its use for training purposes, responsibly dispose of such material. This includes permanent deletion of computer material and shredding of printed material.
- I agree to conceal any identifying information of the patient and associated parties when sharing patient material in order to protect the identity of the patient.
- I agree to take responsibility to obtain consent from patients with regard to sharing of their de-identified information for training purposes.
- I agree to abide by the ethical guidelines set out by my licensure/registration body.
- I agree to keep all case presentation material shared in class or supervision within those settings, and not to share them beyond those settings in any form, including verbally or on social media.
- I agree that all materials (readings, videos) shared in class are for educational purposes only, and may not be used or distributed to other parties without permission of the originator.
